The leaders of the Black Dog Fire Department are made up of seven volunteers. The Fire Chief and Assistant Fire Chief, Chairman of the Board, Treasurer of the Board, Secretary of the Board, and two Board Members at Large.
Black Dog Fire Department is a Title 19 Fire Department. Black Dog Fire Department Board of Directors meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30PM. Meetings are open to the public.
Firefighters perform maintenance and training every Monday at 6 PM.

History
The original not for profit certificate of Incorporation for Blackdog Fire Association was filed on November 18, 1988. Incorporators were Gary Cooper, Richard Shackelford, and Tanya Thompson.
